49ers have a sleep-talker amongst them

The folks at 49ers.com posted a recent interview with rookie safety Jaquiski Tartt in which he discusses all the learning he is doing with Eric Reid, Antoine Bethea and former high school teammate Jimmie Ward. Tartt will get plenty of special teams opportunity in year one, but his potential as a safety will get some development time behind Reid and Bethea. Those two are certainly a good pair of safeties to learn behind.

All that is well and good, but it is the final quotation that is noteworthy. Tartt is rooming with fellow rookie safety Jermaine Whitehead, who the 49ers signed as an undrafted free agent.

"My boy Jermaine Whitehead, he's a safety from Auburn," Tartt began, "He talks in his sleep. He'll be talking about random stuff in his sleep. It was funny. I thought he was up, but he was actually asleep."

Let's just hope other teams do not use this information to glean important information about 49ers game-planning in the preseason!

I actually am a sleep-talker myself. I don't think I do it nearly as much as when I was younger, but it does still happen. I have even been known to swear in my sleep. Now I wonder if I drop in [SITE DECORUM]! instead of swearing. I'm guessing not.
