Good morning everyone. NaVorro Bowman is having a tough time getting back to full strength. Apparently he and his knee brace are not best friends, and team doctors are understandably being cautious with him. Lets just be frank, the 49ers have had terrible luck with injuries over the past few years. Guys get hurt and either don't recover and retire, or we draft them hurt and they retire. I have to be honest, despite the positive news we have been hearing about Bowman, I am still a little hesitant to assume he is going to play immediately or well. I assumed before last season that Marcus Lattimore was over his injury since all the news on him was about him getting prepared to play again. We all know how that one ended but at least it sounds like Bowman is participating with the team in OTAs.
Jim Tomsula spoke to the media yesterday and one the things he covered was Colin Kaepernick's faux pas on instagram. As far as I am concerned, this story is done and anything he does would be better off done out of the media. I saw people suggesting that he should put his money where his mouth is, but even if he did, the story would just shift to a rich jerk trying to buy himself good press. His apology seemed sincere, and even if he does put his money where his mouth is, hopefully he doesn't make a big deal out of doing so. He really can't win this one.
