Golden Nuggets: 49ers escape OTAs without major injury

New, comments

Friday, June 12, 2015 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

You know what I hate seeing when it comes to the San Francisco 49ers? No, not retirements ... well yes, retirements. But I hate seeing a bunch of headlines about the 49ers making it through a specific period without any significant injuries. That's basically just begging for an injury to happen, isn't it? Sure, they made it through organized team activities but let's not celebrate yet! OK, we've had precious few things to celebrate of late so ... I'll go ahead and make that a headline here as well.

Huzzah! See how I just flipped like that? I've no conviction at all. Anyway, all the reports out of OTAs are nice and positive, which is expected but given how much of an oddity it is for things to actually go as expected around here, that's definitely good news. the offseason is moving along at a small crawl but on the bright side, I haven't written about a single arrest or retirement in a good six or seven hours so things sure are looking up!

Anyway ... let us hope the healthiness lasts well into training camp and into the regular season, no? Onto your links for the day.
