The Golden State Warriors wrapped up their NBA championship earlier this week, and Steph Curry remains a conquering hero in Oakland. The Warriors guard was at Oracle Arena Saturday evening for the return of Bay Area native Andre Ward. The super middleweight fought for the first time in a year and a half, fighting a tune-up against Paul Smith at a catchweight of 172 pounds (super middleweight is normally 168). The delay was due to various promoter issues, as is so often the case in boxing.
Curry was in attendance for Ward's victory, and he was joined at one point by San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick. The two Bay Area stars took in the fight, and before-hand, had a chance to catch up. I'm guessing Kap had some words of congratulation for Curry following a dream season. Here is some video of the interaction (h/t to General Patton for posting it in the FanShots section).
