The San Francisco 49ers have had one heck of an offseason, and a particularly notable couple of days this weekend. Fortunately there are still things that can put a smile on our faces aside from football.
Colin Kaepernick and Torrey Smith were on hand for Joe Haden's celebrity softball game, which raised money for the Special Olympics. It turns out there were some NN readers on hand for the game. Kap apparently hit three home runs in the game, but more importantly, was signing autographs well after the game. He also provided a baseball to a fan in attendance. I believe the boy who received the ball is the young man with terminal brain cancer, but I am not positive. There was a boy in attendance who with Make A Wish Foundation had wanted to go to a 49ers game. Due to the aggressive nature of his disease, they worked it out for him to attend the game.
Here are some pictures I came across this evening.
