Jim Harbaugh takes half the blame for amusing run-in with Colin Cowherd

Former San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh remains a tough nut to crack in interviews. His latest with Colin Cowherd just reinforced what 49ers fans have long known.

Earlier today, former San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh conducted a phone interview with ESPN radio personality Colin Cowherd. Harbaugh is frequently a tough interview given his penchant for saying very little, and having some random thoughts when he does share anything. It should surprise nobody then that Harbaugh's interview with Cowherd was quite awkward. You can check out some partial transcription of video of it HERE.

Cowherd was looking for Harbaugh to sell his Michigan program, but Harbaugh would have none of it. Some might view him as being intentionally difficult, but personally I enjoyed that he would not play along with Cowherd. Personally, I am not a fan of Cowherd. His rantings about John Wall are awful, and his use of the straw man is ridiculous. But as is so often the case, even when he loses he wins. I don't listen to Cowherd, and I'm talking about him. Such is life I suppose.

Following the interview, Jim Harbaugh tweeted about it. In a previous thread, someone posted a tweet with what was described as a deleted tweet in which Harbaugh went off on Cowherd and called him a coward. My guess is it was a photoshopped tweet. I could be wrong, so we'll see if anything comes of that. For now, here is what Harbaugh had to say.

I am not at all surprised that Harbaugh had a difficult interview with Cowherd. He is a difficult personality, and this is not the first time this kind of thing has happened. I don't anticipate Harbaugh changing anytime soon, and sometimes it entertains me all the more. Some will disagree, but it certainly does make for good copy!
