Golden Nuggets: The 1st Half

The Niners start off their 2015 regular season in a primetime game at home against the Vikings at Levi's Stadium. Six days later, they travel to the Steel City to face off against the Steelers. Week 3 brings their 1st matchup against the NFC West. They travel to Arizona and face off against the Cardinals.

A week after the showdown in the desert, the Niners travel home to face a familiar foe in Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. After that, they travel to the east coast to face Eli and the Giants. Week 6, they travel back home to face their old coach's brother and the Baltimore Ravens. Week 7 starts a 2 game stretch against NFC West opponents. First comes a showdown with the Seahawks at Levi's Stadium on primetime TV. The following week, the team heads to St. Louis to face the Rams.

This 1st half of the season will be good test for the revamped Niners. Showdowns versus a few elite QBs and elite defenses will give a good barometer of how the Niners will fare this season. This will also provide a test for Tomsula and his staff game planning against elite coaches.
