The 2015 Special Olympics World Games kick off in Los Angeles on July 25, and that means their torch run is wrapping up in California. The torch run kicked off in Sacramento earlier this week, and today it went through Levi's Stadium.
There are a lot of pictures from the event, and I thought I would share them here. Brandon Thomas, Ian Williams and L were among the current players present, as well as assistant offensive line coach Eric Wolford, CEO Jed York, and alumni including Dana Stubblefield and Rhett Hall.
If you want to get involved with the Special Olympics, there website provides a variety of opportunities, as well as a basic donation page.
The torch is on its way to @49ers. Can't wait to share the Flame of Hope with the @49ersCommunity. #FinalLeg pic.twitter.com/L0RVHI6Va4
