Golden Nuggets: Hyde removed from NFI list

Thursday, July 30th, 2015 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from the Internet

Good morning, Faithful. Carlos Hyde was removed from the NFI list less than 24 hrs after being added to it, according to AP - Sports. We can all officially breathe a sigh of relief now. Even though I never thought that Hyde had a significant injury, the last thing we needed was for the second year running back to miss the beginning of training camp, in his first year taking over for Frank Gore.

While the Niners have the most depth the team has had in a while, I still believe that Hyde will be counted on to carry the majority of the load this season. Both Kendall Hunter and Reggie Bush can come in and be explosive from time to time, but neither is really considered an every down back. Mike Davis has the potential to be an every down back, but will need some time to develop during his rookie year.

Needless to say, the Niners need Hyde to be durable this year.
