49ers training camp 2015: Live updates for August 1

The San Francisco 49ers open their first practice session of 2015 training camp on Saturday. We've got live updates on our Twitter list.

Fooch's update: Recap of practice 1

The San Francisco 49ers are back for training camp! The team is set to hold its first practice at 7 p.m. PT inside Levi's Stadium. This marks the latest practice in recent memory, with it set to get started after a local high school All Star football game.

There will be plenty of updates from practice, and so, I have embedded the 49ers media list I have on Twitter. You can follow that below throughout practice. Normally media cannot tweet from the field during the team portion of practice, but that rule is lifted for practices open to the public. Today's practice and the August 9 practice are both open to the public, so we'll likely get a little bit more information via Twitter than normal.

NN has a representative in attendance, as Jennifer Lee Chan is attending practice today, tomorrow and then next weekend. I have included her in the Twitter media list, so you can follow along in there. If you are on Twitter, you can follow her @jenniferleechan. Jennifer and the rest of the media will have recaps following practice. Given the late nature of practice, I'll be out at the end. James Brady will have a compilation of recap reports, and then we'll have Jennifer's recap ready to go tomorrow morning.

The first three days of practice will be without pads, so there is only so much we can take from the sessions. The depth chart is likely the most useful information to come out of these first few days. Eric Mangini has said there will be rotation at inside linebacker next to NaVorro Bowman. He also said there would be rotation at cornerback. Beyond that, it will be interesting to see if Erik Pears continues working first team at right tackle, if Joe Looney and Marcus Martin are at center and right guard, respectively, and who gets first team defensive line work.
