The San Francisco 49ers kick off their 2015 preseason schedule Saturday evening when they travel to face the Houston Texans. In the meantime, the first full week of preseason action kicks off on Thursday. There are six games Thursday evening, followed by six Friday, three Saturday and one Sunday.
The Thursday action is highlighted by the Patriots hosting the Packers. There is no word on if Tom Brady will play in his first game since the announcement of his suspension. The game will air on NFL Network, which will follow it with the Chargers hosting the Cowboys as part of their Week 1 double-header. The other four games are on local television, which can be viewed with NFL Gamepass (available for a seven-day free trial).
All six games include one 49ers opponent this year. The 49ers will face the Ravens, Packers, Lions, Browns and Bears in the regular season, and will face the Cowboys in the preseason.
