Good Morning, Faithful. I thought I was going to get the chance to mostly read about the 49ers joint practices with the Broncos today, but was again disappointed to hear more negative news pertaining to Ahmad Brooks and the 49ers. This, of course being the news that charges have been filed against Brooks stemming from the incident that happened last year at Ray McDonald's house.
Since the news broke, Baalke has stated that Brooks will fly home to California and will not play in the game against the Broncos this weekend. I am not sure how the process will go following this weekend, or how the NFL will react to this news. Brooks is being charged with a misdemeanor and if convicted could face 6 months in jail and have to register as a sex offender, so it is obviously a serious matter.
It should be interesting to see what the NFL does as their punishments have been highly inconsistent and controversial over the past few years to say the least. I just hope we get some answers as soon as possible, so that the team can move past this. How good is that Eli Harold pick looking now?
