Golden Nuggets: 49ers, Broncos play football game, fans lose

Sunday, August 30th, 2015 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

It's soul-crushing when your favorite team doesn't perform up to expectations in a meaningful football game, but it's a unique, special kind of soul-crushing when they don't perform up to expectations in a totally meaningless football game. I shrugged following the Denver Broncos' safety against the San Francisco 49ers, and it was a shrug that came from the deepest, darkest part of my soul. I summoned every single ounce of don'tcareingness and pleasejustendity from within myself, let it well up in unfettered apathy somewhere in my gut and let out the most shrug I've ever shrugged at a football game.

This game was every, single bit of what you'd expect from a game with that final score. That said, I do think a lot of interesting things came out of the game and not all of them were bad. Sure, the offensive line looked as genuinely terrible as expected and Colin Kaepernick doesn't remember what it feels like to complete a pass anymore, but I thought Mike Davis looked good and quite a few players on defense also impressed -- including inside linebacker NaVorro Bowman.

I'm going to hit the gif-making hard this time around and try and get some stuff up sooner rather than later. If there was something you guys saw from the game you want broken down, let me know on Twitter. That makes it easier to get the gifs ya'll want. Onto your links for the day.
