Fooch's update: Here is a list of the entire first round of roster cuts

The San Francisco 49ers have begun the process of cutting down their roster to 75 players. Aaron Wilson is reporting the team has cut wide receiver Mario Hull. That was followed by Matt Maiocco reporting the team cut outside linebacker Shawn Lemon, offensive tackle Sean Hooey and cornerback Mylan Hicks. The team is unlikely to confirm their roster moves until all have been made to get them down to 75. We will use this as a live tracker for roster cuts, with the 49ers Twitter media list below.

The 49ers entered the day with 89 players, and these moves would drop them to 85. We'll continue tracking the roster moves throughout the day. These first two are not surprising. Hull was signed after minicamp, and Lemon was added once the team needed a training camp replacement for Aldon Smith. The 49ers actually claimed Hooey off waivers from the New York Jets back in June, but clearly he did not show enough through three preseason games. Hicks signed in mid-May as an undrafted free agent out of Michigan State.
