Levi's Stadium is an absolute joke at this point, isn't it? I'm sure you guys have read all you want to read about sod and turf at this stage, but it's the most pertinent thing happening for the San Francisco 49ers for the time being and that's a huge problem. In the 49ers' statement following the relocation of their Sunday practice, they said they remain confident they can put together a field that's up to their standards in time for the regular season.
The problem is ... they probably can't. They can talk about re-sodding after the Taylor Swift concert all they like, it's not like this new batch is going to be any different from the last. This is going to be a long, long season as far as this field goes and as much as you guys are sick hearing about it, I'm sick of talking about it. Let's hope they randomly get some kind of super strong mutant grass next time around.
Onto your links for the day.
