After game 3 of the preseason, it seems safe to say that the offensive line needs some work. On Saturday night, the right side of the line could not block anyone. Kaepernick had no time in the pocket before someone was on top of him. The news out of training camp was that the o-line was having a tough time and we were able to see what that looked like. The Denver Broncos came through the line consistently. If this is a sign of things to come, the offense and Kap are going to have a long season.

The offense has not found any sort of rhythm yet. If this offensive line doesn't give Kap any time to throw, whatever Kap worked on this offseason will not matter. No quarterback can perform well without pass protection. The Denver pass rushing is one of the best in the league, but the NFC West also has some of the best pass rushing teams in the league. The Niners better figure out some way to correct their protection.

On the defensive side, NaVorro Bowman had another great game. His blitzes were picture perfect. On one, he jumped through the line as if he knew when Peyton was going to hike the ball. All Peyton could do was drop to the ground. It is amazing that he looks like he hasn't lost anything from being the tackling machine from the 2013 season, when he was arguably the best LB in the NFL. There seems to be no rust in his game. Kenneth Acker also had a good game with 2 passes defended and an interception. Only mistake was throwing a live ball in the end zone. He was the best corner for the Niners and looks like he'll be a major contributor this season.
