The San Francisco 49ers are back for practice number two this week, as they prepare for Monday Night Football against the Minnesota Vikings. The Friday session means we get to hear from the two coordinators, starting at 11:45 a.m. PT. Defensive coordinator Eric Mangini and offensive coordinator Geep Chryst will meet with the media to discuss Monday's game.
The press conferences will be live streamed by CSN Bay Area, and you can watch it above. You can also check it on 49ers.com/live, and I have dropped in the media Twitter list below. The press conferences are followed by player availability, so keep an eye out for updates there. We'll have coordinator transcripts later today, and of course, stories on any items of note from the media sessions.
Mangini will likely get plenty of questions about his starting cornerbacks, but I'm sure we won't get any clarity. I imagine he will also get some questions on Jimmie Ward's role in the defense, and what the nickel defensive tackle situation is like with Darnell Dockett now departed. Chryst will get plenty of Colin Kaepernick questions, and I'm sure someone will ask him if Jarryd Hayne will have a role on offense on Sunday.
