49ers-Vikings injury report: Tramaine Brock remains limited

The San Francisco 49ers released their second practice participation report of the week as they prepare for Monday's game against the Minnesota Vikings. We break down comments NaVorro Bowman made regarding the coaching staff and injuries.

The San Francisco 49ers and Minnesota Vikings released their second practice reports of the week, and not a whole lot has changed. The 49ers still have Tramaine Brock listed as limited, while the Vikings upgraded Thursday's three limited players to full participants on Friday.

The 49ers have the fewest players on their Week 1 injury report, according to Matt Maiocco. NaVorro Bowman met with the media on Friday before practice, and he discussed that topic. He said Jim Tomsula's knowledge of the team is a big reason there are fewer injured players at this point in the season. Bowman mentioned how a new outside coach might be more inclined to run players into the ground to see who is tough, but Tomsula knows his guys.

Monday is when we will start to figure out what Jim Tomsula and his coaching staff can do to win ballgames on game-day. All indications leading up to the season have been pretty positive. It may end up meaning nothing come game-day, but it does give us some reason for at least a little bit of optimism.
