The San Francisco 49ers are the first team on the board Monday night, thanks to a nasty run by Carlos Hyde. The 49ers ran him off right guard from the ten, and he put on a filthy spin move to get into the open field. He cut back left with Colin Kaepernick in front of him, and scored the 10-yard touchdown run. Hyde currently has 83 yards on 12 carries in the first half.
Hyde has been having a hell of a day thus far, looking fantastic in replacing Frank Gore. It is only one game, but given the questions about the 49ers offensive line, it's quite impressive what he has done thus far. The 49ers have primarily run left, but Hyde has managed to find success even running right behind Erik Pears and Jordan Devey. The line still has work to do, but it has been better than I was expecting. We'll see what the second half brings.
