Jim Tomsula does not seem to have changed much at all

This is almost cliched at this point. Blue collar Jim Tomsula might be the Danny Woodhead of coaches for PFT Commenter. The grit and blue collar nature is certainly something else.

At this point, if the San Francisco 49ers can string together some wins and put together a solid season, Jim Tomsula might become a living legend in the media. He got some positive feature stories in the preseason, and Deadspin was the first to jump on the "he's kind of a cool guy" story after the Week 1 win.

If the 49ers continue winning, Tomsula might turn into the most popular coach in the NFL. I think people already recognize he's a great guy, but if you combine that with winning, the media will go absolutely crazy.
