The NFL kicks off Week 3 tonight with Thursday Night Football. The New York Giants host Washington in an NFC East showdown that kicks off at 5:30 p.m. PT on CBS. I believe NFL Network will be simulcasting the game, but if you have a TV, you can just enjoy this on CBS.
The Giants are favorites, with the line swinging between a field goal and four points. This is a significant matchup in the NFC East. While the Cowboys are 2-0, they have lost Tony Romo and Dez Bryant for a significant amount of time. Washington got a much-needed home win over the Rams in Week 2, while the Giants dropped to 0-2. I think the Giants have the strongest chance of unseating the Cowboys, but they need to stop blowing leads. Through two weeks, the New York has managed to blow a pair of double digit fourth quarter leads. I don't think an 0-3 start in this particular division is a death-knell, but that start coupled with a home divisional loss would put them on the ropes early.
The Giants will be without their left tackle, Ereck Flowers, but is expecting Jon Beason back. Washington will be without wide receiver DeSean Jackson, while Jordan Reed is looking good to go. Reed is a very talented tight end, but injuries have cost him a lot of time in his young career. If he can stay healthy, he represents a huge weapon for Kirk Cousins.
Here is everything you need to know about tonight's game.
