Seems like we could almost take everything we said after last week's game, except replace the "Pittsburgh Steelers" with "Arizona Cardinals" and "Ben Roethlisberger" with "Carson Palmer". This time though, there was no silver lining since Colin Kaepernick looked as hideous yesterday as he was credible the first two games. I saw the Colts game earlier and Andrew Luck was having as much trouble as Kaepernick struggling with his protection and his accuracy. Yet somehow Luck came back from adversity and found a way to win that game. I'm still hoping that Colin can find that same magic.

The very few positives I can take from this game are Jarryd Hayne's improving return game and Carlos Hyde continuing to show hard gains on the run. I will not count the 49ers out this early yet, since we've seen stranger things happen in the NFL in previous seasons. What I will say though is that the front office, the coaching staff and the players all need to sit down and figure out what they are doing wrong and find a much better way.

The 49ers have faced two quality opponents so far and they have not even come close to competing against either team. It always hurts to see your team lose, but if it's gonna happen, I would at least want to see them compete or perhaps see young players get a bigger chance to develop. Now, let's see what's developing in the media today:
