Packers-Chiefs final score: Week 4 is gonna be some kind of test for the 49ers

The Green Bay Packers improved to 3-0 on Monday, defeating the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football by a final score of 38-28. At times this game was a blowout, but the Chiefs did make the Packers sweat a little bit late in the game. But the Packers held on for the inter-conference win.

The San Francisco 49ers host the Packers this coming Sunday, with the game set to kick off at 1:25 p.m. PT. If the 49ers were not coming off a pair of losses by a combined scored of 90-25, it might have gotten the Game of the Week treatment. My guess is Broncos-Vikings gets it for this week.

Crazy things happen all the time in football. The 49ers could indeed beat the Packers. Will they? I highly doubt it. The Packers lost Jordy Nelson for the year during the preseason, and they continue to roll on offense. Jon Gruden talked about how if Aaron Rodgers gets time in the pocket, it's all over. Well, right now there is little reason to think he won't get time in the pocket.

At this point, I'm riding on just hoping this turns into one of those crazy games we see every so often in the NFL. The hot top team sleepwalks through the game and somehow the worse team springs the upset. That's really all I got right now. The Packers defense gave up some junk to Alex Smith and the Chiefs passing game, but after Sunday's loss, it is hard to be optimistic.  Of course, if you're looking for more, well there's always this:

I tweeted out asking for responses to "In 5 words, prediction for 49ers-Packers next week: _____". The responses were predictable, and often amusing.
