Well, that road trip went as bad as possibly could have. After the beatdown the Niners received last week in Pittsburgh, it went worse Sunday in Arizona. The Niners lost 47-7 to their division rivals and were embarrassed throughout. They have been outscored by a score of 90-25 in the 2 road games. Their schedule does not get any easier with Mr. Aaron Rodgers headed to Levi's Stadium.
Colin Kaepernick had a nightmarish game. His worst of his career. Before the team could even blink, he threw 2 pick-6s on consecutive drives. The Cardinals defense is good, but Kap made their jobs so easy. Kap had his best statistical game in Pittsburgh and followed it up with a 4-int, 67 passing yard game. While no one played well on Sunday, Kap should shoulder the blame for this game. He showed poor vision and execution. Another game like that, he may get replaced by Blaine Gabbert. Now that would be a nightmare situation.
Since the Monday night game win versus Minnesota, the Niners quickly fell back to Earth. They look like a team who went through a rough offseason. They look dysfunctional. In addition to the offseason they had, they look like a complete mess from the front office all the way down to the playing field. This is going to be rough season. The gauntlet of a schedule the Niners have will not help at all.
