Good morning everyone, happy "Jarryd Hayne made the San Francisco 49ers" day to all of you. Don't worry -- I'm wishing everyone the same. This sure was an interesting roster cuts period. It had a couple surprise cuts, like Darnell Dockett, ambiguous Tweets from 49ers players that ultimately meant nothing and even a couple reporters throwing out completely random rumors with impressively little substance.
Of course, the bigger thing for me is that 700-plus players just lost their jobs. I can only hope all of them wind up on their feet in some way, with as many of them finding jobs as possible. A lot of the guys released can play football pretty well, but the numbers just don't add up. Heck, I even found myself having sympathy for Tim Tebow of all players, as I sort of felt like it was cruel of Philadelphia to bring him in, watch him clearly play well enough to earn the No. 3 job, and then release him.
But hey, this is a 49ers blog, what the heck am I talking about Tim Tebow for? And not, you know, Jarryd Hayne. Jarryd Hayne is great, you guys. Jarryd Hayne. Onto your links. Jarryd Hayne.
