The Michigan Wolverines finished off their 2015 season in strong fashion on New Years Day, blowing out the Florida Gators 41-7 in the Citrus Bowl. The victory capped off a huge turnaround for Michigan. A year ago, the Wolverines finished the season 5-7, and were looking pretty mediocre. They proceeded to hire Jim Harbaugh away from the San Francisco 49ers, and finished 10-3. Oh, and they also brought in what many view as one of the better recruiting classes in the country.
Following the bowl victory, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick had a tweet of congratulations for Coach Harbaugh. That was followed by a Harbaugh response.
Congrats @CoachJim4UM for the 10 win season and the huge bowl victory!

Thanks, Kap! Much appreciated, means a lot! All the best in 2016! https://t.co/0pVMSZWedZ

It is not surprising Kap would have a word of congratulations for his former head coach. Although the 2014 season was not pretty, Kap always remained loyal to Harbaugh. It is not surprising he would congratulate Coach Harbaugh. That being said, it is amusing to see Kap take to a public format to congratulate his former head coach. Whether or not he was trying to stick it to Jed York and the San Francisco 49ers a little bit, this is certainly at least a little bit entertaining.
I'm guessing Jed York was not paying much attention to this game. Harbaugh's bowl game kicked off the same time as York's Notre Dame Fighting Irish got going in the Fiesta Bowl. Notre Dame had a slightly worse day than Michigan, getting beat pretty handily by the Ohio State Buckeyes.
