The first round of playoff games are in and man, there was some bad, bad football on display. I mean, not San Francisco 49ers bad, but pretty bad. I was something of a believer in Brian Hoyer and I did not expect him to implode in the same fashion that he did on Saturday. I am very happy to see Alex Smith get a win with the Kansas City Chiefs.
I wonder if Colin Kaepernick will end up with the Chiefs some day. Their last four playoff victories have come against quarterbacks who started their careers with the 49ers, after all. I think Smith had a pretty good game overall -- completed a high percentage of his passes like he's known for doing and generally protected the ball. The errant interception was an odd thing, but he got the job done.
The only thing I care about from here is the Pittsburgh Steelers getting eliminated so they don't get another Lombardi Trophy. Also if the Minnesota Vikings do well I might win some money. Aaaaanyway, head coaching search! That's still a thing! Onto your links.
