Browns complete second interview with Hue Jackson

The process seems to be heating up for Hue Jackson. Could something be resolved in the next 24 hours?

The Cleveland Browns have been described as aggressive in their approach to head coach candidate Hue Jackson. We have another indicator of that aggression. The Browns have confirmed they conducted a second interview with Jackson on Tuesday.

Jackson interviewed with the Browns on Sunday following his sit-down with the San Francisco 49ers. Reports early this week had the New York Giants looking to interview Jackson as well. Josina Anderson reported Jackson would fly to New York on Wednesday for a potential Thursday morning interview. In light of this second interview with the Browns, it is possible that Giants interview might not happen. Ian Rapoport tweeted that a deal is not done yet, so plenty remains to be done. He also said Jackson still plans on interviewing with the Giants. All that being said, I have to think for the Browns, the next 24 hours are critical.

Fooch's update: Browns beat writer Mary Kay Cabot added this:

As for the 49ers? Well, Tim Kawakami reported that it sounded like the team was no longer pushing for Jackson. He did acknowledge they could circle back on Jackson, but this process is speeding up enough that it could very well resolve itself sooner rather than later. The 49ers seem to be on the outside looking in at this point, but obviously this situation is incredibly fluid.
