The San Francisco 49ers will see a lot of turnover on their coaching staff in 2016, and it is safe to say Chip Kelly will be looking to bring in some of "his guys" to begin the work in Santa Clara. One coach that is a virtual certainty to join Kelly is Jerry Azzinaro. Matt Maiocco pointed out that Azzinaro has been on Kelly's staff dating back to their time together at Oregon. Azzinaro has served as his defensive line coach during that stretch.
Azzinaro also had an assistant head coach title during his time in Philadelphia. I've never fully grasped the "assistant head coach" title, but I suppose he can keep an eye on things when Kelly is busy elsewhere. Kelly is currently working on developing his coaching staff. If it's like every other staff search, the 49ers will email out a press release once the entire group is assembled.
