Well the San Francisco 49ers' offseason is rolling right along and the team has brought in an offensive coordinator, offensive line coach, linebackers coach and a special teams coordinator. I know some people were worried about the offensive coordinator hire but honestly, I don't think it's that crucial with Chip Kelly in charge.
The hires do scream "We're definitely planning on using quarterback Colin Kaepernick and there's nothing you can do about it!" I have no idea if that's a good thing or not at this stage but it is what it is. Defensive coordinator is much more interesting to me though, and I'm very glad that Eric Mangini won't be the guy in charge. I just don't think he's a great defensive coordinator and I'd rather take my chances on someone else.
Also we keep hearing more about Anthony Davis returning, but Trent Baalke said he's heard nothing to that effect at this point. I don't even know what's going on with Davis or how I feel about a player just taking years off and expecting to come riding in to save the day but hey, what do I know?
