Golden Nuggets: SB 50 Matchup in Levi's Stadium All Set

Monday, January 25, 2016 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Being eliminated early in this years playoff picture does not exclude the San Francisco 49ers from the Super Bowl 50 news because they are this year's hosts. Levi's Stadium being the newest NFL stadium serves as the venue for this season's match up between NFC Champs Carolina Panthers and the AFC Champs Denver Broncos. That means for the next two weeks, San Francisco Santa Clara will be descended upon by more fans, more media, more NFL personnel and related entourages than at any time in Levi's brief history.

I have no doubt that the new facility with its first class amenities will have trouble handling the load. Power outages like those experienced by the 49ers and Ravens in the Super Dome should not be a problem. Nor should cold weather be a factor like it was in Met Life Stadium. Since the stadium though is an outdoor facility, rain is a distinct possibility for the game which will have a 3:00pm PT kickoff schedule. Hopefully, the best possible conditions will exist so that the 49ers can run their hosting gig without a hitch.
