It's hard to get overly excited about the Pro Bowl, but the San Francisco 49ers will have two players participating this Sunday. The game is good for Sunday background noise, but I'll also try and pay some attention to NaVorro Bowman and Joe Staley. I would think there will be at least one moment when they interact on the field given that they are on opposing teams.
As we look ahead to the 2016 season, who do you see as potential Pro Bowlers next year? There were no 49ers snubs this year because the team was just not particularly good. The team will add players via free agency and the NFL Draft, but with the current roster, who do you see as potential Pro Bowlers next year?
Aaron Lynch is a name that jumps out to me. Chip Kelly will be looking for an aggressive defense from Jim O'Neil, so I could see Aaron Lynch getting a lot of chances to bump up that sack total. If Carlos Hyde can remain healthy, I could see him as a potential candidate. If Chip Kelly and Colin Kaepernick end up working together, Kap's popularity could get him into the game if he has a solid season.
A lot of it will just depend on how the team performs. If the team does in fact bounce back next year, the Pro Bowl totals will boost. Under Jim Harbaugh, the team had numerous Pro Bowlers each year. If they find success under Chip Kelly in year one, they could most definitely bump their total.
