Golden Nuggets: Bring on the Rams (and win, preferably)

Sunday, January 3rd, 2015 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning everyone. Today, the San Francisco 49ers will play their last game of the season and while things have been wretched and miserable ever since Carlos Hyde had that big game against the Minnesota Vikings, it's going to be tough to see them go. The wait between the end of the regular season and the next preseason is significantly underestimated every single time we think we're ready for a break from football.

It's never easy. It takes too long to get come back around and even if the 49ers are a huge, ridiculous mess they're still the 49ers.

I know that come April we're going to wish the 49ers had the first overall draft pick. But honestly, today I just want the 49ers to go out there and absolutely wipe the floor with Jeff Fisher and the St. Louis Rams. Seriously, they're the only NFC West rival that has historically amounted to anything. The fact that Fisher is basically guaranteed his job for another year eases the pain of San Francisco's terrible coaching staff.

Go and get a win, 49ers. Onto your links.
