Jed York press conference scheduled for 10:30 a.m. PT on Monday

The San Francisco 49ers have fired head coach Jim Tomsula, and CEO Jed York will face the media to discuss it on Monday. The team announced that York will hold a press conference at 10:30 a.m. PT. We will have an open thread with the live stream from CSN Bay Area. The folks at 49ers.com will also have it front and center.

I am really curious to hear what York has to say following the decision to fire Tomsula. Getting rid of him after only one year is effectively admitting he was entirely wrong to bring him in. The injuries and roster turnover provided some potential excuses to give Tomsula a second season, but only a fool would have doubled down on Tomsula. York does not get full credit for potentially creating the mess in the first place, but at least he was not dumb enough to let his ego fully blow this thing up.

Kyle McLorg tweeted that Trent Baalke will be fully in charge of the coaching staff search, so we'll see if York has anything to say on that front. In last year's press conference we got to hear Jed throw around words like accountability, and how he wanted a teacher, and all sorts of random phrases. Hopefully we get more than trite phrases this year.
