The New Orleans Saints and Sean Payton seem headed for a divorce, and rumors are running rampant about his future. The primary question for any team looking to pursue Payton is what it will take to get him away from the Saints. Even if both sides want out, the Saints have some measure of leverage that will likely net them a draft pick before all is said and done.
NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport is reporting that a second round pick could be enough to convince the Saints to let Payton out of his contract. The 49ers could have as many as 12 draft picks in the 2016 NFL Draft, including multiple picks in the fourth, fifth and sixth rounds. The 49ers pick No. 7 in the first round, but the ties mean they likely move up to No. 6 in the second round. Whichever one it is, it would be a fairly high pick. Not quite "end of first" like the first pick of the round, but pretty close.
Would the 49ers be willing to make that move? Would you be willing to give up a second if it meant signing Sean Payton? I've attached a poll asking if you specifically would do it, not if you think the 49ers will actually do it.
From what I am told, the potential price placed by the #Saints on Sean Payton is a 2nd rounder… That's what it'll take to pry him.

Is 2nd rd enough for #Saints to get for Sean Payton? #Seahawks got a 2nd for Holmgren in '99. #Cardinals got a 3rd for Don Coryell in '78
