The San Francisco 49ers search for a head coach appears to have another candidate on the radar. ESPN's Josina Anderson is reporting the team is scheduling an interview with Anthony Lynn, who is currently the Buffalo Bills' assistant head coach and running backs coach. The Miami Dolphins have already requested permission to interview him.
Lynn joined the Bills year after departing the New York Jets with Rex Ryan. With the Jets, Lynn was the running backs coach from 2009-2014, and held the same position with the Cleveland Browns (2007-2008), Dallas Cowboys (2005-2006), and Jacksonville Jaguars (2003-2004). He started his coaching career as a special teams assistant with the Denver Broncos from 2000-2002. He played running back and special teams in the NFL from 1993 to 1999, including two years with the 49ers in 1995 and 1996.
The Bills offense ranked No. 9 overall, according to Football Outsiders, and was second on the ground. I wonder if Greg Roman will have any advice for Lynn?
