Golden Nuggets: The coaching carousel continues for the 49ers

Saturday, January 9th, 2016 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning everyone -- Pat isn't available to do the Golden Nuggets today, so I'm taking a break from my busy schedule of watching Friends reruns while playing Madden to bring you the good news.

Well ... I'm not certain how much of it is good news, but one thing I really don't like the sound of is the San Francisco 49ers interviewing potential offensive coordinator candidates before they have found a new head coach. Whatever happens with the head coaching position, I just hope it is filled by someone who has real power, and if the 49ers are potentially not allowing said coach the luxury of picking his own coordinators that doesn't inspire much confidence.

Then again, none of us really have any idea what's going on behind closed doors right now. I'm just very nervous about Jed York and his meddling at this stage. I also hope there are no coaches on the staff that the 49ers insist a new guy keep. Then again, John DeFilippo is an up-and-comer and the 49ers should never pass up an opportunity to get some information on him.

Onto your links for the day.
