Welcome to the 2016 NFL playoffs! We took a look at the full schedule of wild card weekend, but now it's time for the predictions from across Niners Nation. I emailed the front page writers to get their thoughts on who will win what over the next month. They provided their picks for all four rounds of the playoffs, starting with this weekend's wild card round, and ending with the Super Bowl.
Last year, the Seahawks were a popular Super Bowl pick. This year, the Cardinals are the heavy favorite. Six of us are taking the Cardinals to win it all, including myself. Two people have the Patriots and two people have the Panthers. There was a lot of chalk on the NFC side, with most people predicting a Panthers-Cardinals NFC title game. They have been the top two teams all season, with their being a clear delineation between those two and the rest of the NFC.
On the AFC side, the Patriots are a popular pick, but the Steelers are another team getting some love. Seven people have them advancing into the AFC title game. Pittsburgh barely squeaked in as a six seed, but that offense is impressive, even without running back DeAngelo Williams. Of course, with all these picks, I imagine the Steelers now go down in the first round.
