DeForest Buckner, Glenn Dorsey at 49ers practice, Jimmie Ward, Jaquiski Tartt on side field

We break down the latest from the 49ers first practice of Week 6.

The San Francisco 49ers returned to practice on Tuesday, and while we will not get a practice participation report for the day, we have some news on several injured players. DeForest Buckner, Glenn Dorsey, and Vance McDonald all were involved in the session, while Jimmie Ward and Jaquiski Tartt were on the sideline.

Buckner: He sat out all three practices last week with a foot injury. The Wednesday report will be important to see if he is at least limited in practice, as opposed to a DNP like last week.

Dorsey: He took part in practice last week, but after two days of full work, he was downgraded to limited on Wednesday. The 49ers deactivated him as they did not want to aggravate anything in his continued recovery from his 2015 ACL injury.

McDonald: He was limited all three days last week, and then was inactive for Thursday Night Football.

Ward: He has not taken part in a single practice session the last two weeks. Last week was a short week, so it makes some sense. But if he is a DNP on Wednesday, that will indicate the injury is more serious than the team let on initially.

Tartt: He was a full participant with a knee injury last week, and played on Thursday. He got banged up, with Chip Kelly saying he was going through an MRI on Friday. He will be a name to watch on the injury report this week.
