Well gentlemen, it’s been a week since our drubbing at the hands of the lowly Cardinals, and the biggest news since has been the “restructuring” and subsequent change at QB centered around Colin Kaepernick. The word points to a mutually beneficial delta playing towards the short term goals of both entities, player and front office alike.
We come into week 6 against a middling team, with a recent high from shutting out the Brady-less Patriots, in a somewhat lopsided game that might be seen as a step towards relevancy with a Bills win, or a fluke with a generally discounted 49ers win. It feels gross to admit it, but we’re not headed for a 10-6 (or better) “welcome to the NFL” reason a la Harbaugh, Kelly, but the most we might hope for is signs of intelligent life from our youngsters.
As always, gentlemen, keep the faith.
