The San Francisco 49ers will send out quarterback Colin Kaepernick for his first regular season start since Week 8 of last season. There have been plenty of predictions regarding his performance. If we were to base it entirely off his 2015 season, I imagine most people would be pessimistic. Of course, for many fans, optimism is where we land on something “new.” So, maybe we think he can make things happen with Chip Kelly’s offense. None of us knows for certain.
Our friends at Bovada have put together some odds on Kaepernick’s performance Sunday against the Bills. To give you an idea of what some of these numbers mean, let’s look at total touchdown passes. If he throws OVER 1.5 TDs, the payout is +135, which means if you bet $100, you win $135. If he throws UNDER 1.5 TDs, the payout is -165, which means you have to bet $165 to win $100. That means the UNDER is the favorite here.
If I were a betting man that had no interest in the 49ers, and was not using this entirely for entertainment purposes, I’d bet the UNDER on yards, OVER on touchdowns, UNDER on completions, OVER on interceptions, and OVER on rushing yards. What about you?
