49ers-Bills picks and predictions: Mixed opinions across the board

The San Francisco 49ers hit the road in Week 6, facing the Buffalo Bills. We run down various picks and predictions for the game.

Week 6 is officially underway, and we had a safety! The San Diego Chargers got a huge win on Thursday Night Football, defeating the Denver Broncos 21-13. The Chargers jumped out to an early lead, and put together a strong defensive effort for the win. If you are looking for an improved draft pick for the 49ers, you are pleased as the 1-4 Chargers improve to 2-4 with the win.

We can now begin the move to Sunday. The 49ers are traveling east to face the Buffalo Bills. It’s the 10:00 a.m. PT start that NFC West teams that so often creates problems. The big story of course is that Colin Kaepernick will be making his first start in nearly a year. It creates for some unpredictability in this matchup. The Bills are currently a nine-point favorite. From a point spread perspective, a cover is very possible for the 49ers. But can they get the outright upset?

Most folks think the 49ers lose this one, and quite a few score predictions are predicting the Bills cover. Buffalo is on a roll, having won three straight over Arizona, New England, and Los Angeles. The defense is playing well, and it’s safe to say we’ll want to keep an eye on LeSean McCoy against the 49ers front seven.
