The San Francisco 49ers have suffered a couple notable injuries in Week 6 against the Buffalo Bills. In the third quarter, running back Carlos Hyde suffered a shoulder injury, and Rashard Robinson suffered a head injury.
Hyde was on the sideline and was declared questionable to return. Shaun Draughn and Mike Davis split up carries after Hyde left. Fortunately, Hyde has returned for the next 49ers series.
Robinson was taken to the locker room to be evaluated for a concussion. If he is cleared he can return immediately. If he is not cleared, he will not return, and enter the NFL’s concussion protocol. That would mean he will not be immediately cleared for Week 7 vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In the meantime, Keith Reaser is seeing more playing time. Robinson had replaced an injured Jimmie Ward, and Reaser has been the first cornerback off the bench.
