Carlos Hyde patience, great blocking spring second 49ers TD

The 49ers took a 14-0 lead on the Cowboys with this Hyde touchdown.

The San Francisco 49ers have taken a 14-0 lead against the Dallas Cowboys early in the second quarter of their Week 4 matchup. This second touchdown came on a Carlos Hyde 3-yard run. He showed incredibly patience at the line, before kicking the run outside and using some great blocking by the 49ers offensive line to easily get into the end zone.

This second touchdown drive went 80 yards on 12 plays. The three key plays before the touchdown were a 13-yard pass strike to Garrett Celek on third down, a 25-yard catch and run for Celek on the next play, and a 17-yard Jeremy Kerley catch. The three plays moved the 49ers deep into Dallas territory to close out the first quarter.

Here’s a GIF of the play, followed by a video from the stands.
