Golden Nuggets: Bring on the Buccaneers!

Sunday, October 23rd, 2016 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Today, the San Francisco 49ers play ... somebody. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers? That sounds right. I expect they will lose, though the Buccaneers aren’t exactly a powerhouse in that regard. The 49ers have the talent to beat the Buccaneers, certainly.

They also have more than enough talent to lose to the Buccaneers.

I don’t think Jameis Winston is a particularly good quarterback. I’d go as far as to say I expect he’ll definitely wind up being a bust, but I’ve been wrong before. I suppose I shouldn’t be talking, with Colin Kaepernick starting at quarterback for the 49ers. True, I called for Kaepernick to start and I stand by that.

But until he shows something, he’s still a guy that has wildly regressed and has disappointed as the potential franchise quarterback of the 49ers. Can he be that guy again? I dunno, but beating the Buccaneers would be a good first start ... if an underwhelming one.
