The San Francisco 49ers is showing signs of life against a struggling Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense. The 49ers set up a short field on a Gerald Hodges interception. On their first play after the interception, Colin Kaepernick connected with Shaun Draughn for a 17-yard touchdown pass to give the 49ers a 14-0 lead.
The interception was set up by great coverage of Mike Evans by Tramaine Brock. Although he has given up for touchdown passes, Brock has had his share of great plays through seven weeks. On the interception, he got his hands in to pop the ball up in the air. Hodges was in the right place at the right time, and ran it 21 yards down to the Bucs 17 yard line. Here’s a look at the pick.

He threw to the end zone, where Shaun Draughn had gained the slightest of separation from his defender. He made an excellent pass, and did great work getting both feet in bounds for the score.
