Good morning! I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it would appear the San Francisco 49ers are not going to be a good team in 2016. I realize this is shocking news, but I figured it was probably worth sharing.
It was another rough day for the 49ers. They jumped out to a 14-0 lead, only to give up 27 unanswered points. We saw a broad mix of the problems the 49ers have dealt with all season. There were offensive turnovers, with Colin Kaepernick throwing an interception and losing a fumble. There was the awful run defense, giving up 249 yards to the Bucs. There was a special teams miscue, when Aaron Burbridge ran into Jeremy Kerley, causing a muffed punt.
The 49ers are now 1-6, and there really is nothing left to root for other than draft position, some player development, and avoiding any serious injuries. This team is awful, and they need to make some serious changes. I don’t expect anything significant happening before the end of the season, so that just means we’re left to suck it up and get through these final nine games. We can do it together, y’all!
