The San Francisco 49ers kick off the start of a two-game road trip, facing the Miami Dolphins in Week 12. The team will stay in Orlando during the coming week and then travel to face the Chicago Bears in Week 13. The 49ers are in the midst of a nine-game losing streak, and a loss to the Dolphins would result in the longest losing streak in franchise history.
The 49ers are a touchdown underdog in this game, with a majority of the betting public siding with the Dolphins. Miami has won five straight after a 1-4 start, and find themselves in the thick of the playoff race. They are coming off an ugly 14-10 win, in which they scored a touchdown in the final minute of the game. It has not been pretty at times, but five straight wins is five straight wins.
It should surprise nobody that there are no predictions of a 49ers upset. There are some at CBS Sports who think the 49ers can cover the seven-point spread, but nobody sees a win. If this game was in Santa Clara I could see a couple predictions for upsets, but given the 49ers are going on the road, this is not surprising. I do think this game has let-down potential for the Dolphins coming off the tight win over the Rams, but I think Miami ends up pulling it out.
