The NFL wrapped up Week 12, and we’re back with our Week 13 power rankings. The week concluded with the Green Bay Packers getting back in the win column with a huge road win over the Philadelphia Eagles. The Packers improved to 5-6 with a 27-13 win, while the Eagles dropped to 5-6. Both teams are 1.5 games back in the wild card. The Eagles are five back of the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East, which means one more Cowboys win or one more Eagles loss officially eliminates them from a shot at the division title. The Packers are two back of the Detroit Lions and one back of the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC North.
The San Francisco 49ers lost a close one to the Miami Dolphins, and dropped to 1-10 in the process. The Cleveland Browns, Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars, and New York Jets all lost as well. I considered bumping the 49ers up a spot or two, but the Bears, Jaguars, and Jets all lost relatively close games. You could say they are all tied for the spot just ahead of the Browns.
The Dallas Cowboys and Oakland Raiders remain at the top of the rankings. I dropped the Seattle Seahawks a couple spots, and bumped the New England Patriots back to No. 3. The biggest climber was the Kansas City Chiefs, who I bumped from No. 9 to No. 4. You go in to Denver and get the upset and it is worth a correction in the rankings. Right now, the Raiders lead the Chiefs by one game and the Broncos by two games. The Raiders and Chiefs square off on Thursday Night Football in Week 14. The Chiefs won in Oakland already, so a Chiefs win puts them in first place with the only tiebreaker that matters.
Here are my full Week 13 NFL power rankings.
