49ers-Saints inactives: Carlos Hyde out for Week 9

We break down the official inactive report for Week 9.

The San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints released their inactives for Week 9, and as expected running back Carlos Hyde is not going to play. Hyde suffered a shoulder injury in Week 6, missed Week 7, and after a week of limited workouts, will miss Week 9. DuJuan Harris will start in his place, with Shaun Draughn and Mike Davis serving as backups.

The Saints welcome back cornerback Delvin Breaux and defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins, which are big boosts for their defense. The Saints defense does not face a huge test from the 49ers, but getting back their top corner and their first round pick are big additions this week, and moving forward.

49ers inactives: QB Christian Ponder, WR Keshawn Martin, RB Carlos Hyde, CB Rashard Robinson, OLB Aaron Lynch, NT Mike Purcell, OL John Theus

Saints inactives: LB Dannell Ellerbe, RB Daniel Lasco, CB De'Vante Harris, RB Marcus Murphy, OL Landon Turner, WR Tommylee Lewis, DT John Jenkins
